Snuggled in the historic heart of Smithfield is a quaint, cosy, colourful Karoo-style guesthouse with the character and charm of 157 years of South African Platteland heritage - where the atmosphere of bygone times is strongly sensed upon entering the restored old buildings. It is ideally situated on the friendly N6 and a welcome stop from anywhere in SA. A heart- warming and refreshingly different experience awaits the traveller at Artists' Colony in Smithfield's only national monument.
