DirectionsDIRECTIONS TO GET TO CLARENS FROM GAUTENG (Recommended from the East side of Johannesburg. ) 1. Take the N3 from Johannesburg to Durban. 2. As you cross the Vaal River at Villiers, before the Toll Gate, turn off the N3 and follow the R26 to Frankfort. 3. Continue with the R26 until you get to a T-Junction. 4. TURN TO YOUR RIGHT towards Frankfort. 5. Pass the town of Frankfort and cross a bridge over a large river. 6. Veer towards the left still on the R 26 towards Tweeling. 7. Continue straight on with this road, the R26, over a stop street and past Reitz. 8 When you get to Bethlehem carry on through 2 sets of traffic lights, then a four way stop, and then through a third set of traffic lights, and past a large Engen Garage on your right. 9. About 6 km’s from Bethlehem turn onto the R711/2 to Golden Gate & Clarens. You are about 25 km’s from Clarens. 10. You will pass through the Noupoort or “Nek” of Clarens. Continue down the hill until you see the road leading into the village at the bottom of the hill. Turn right into the village of Clarens and immediately turn left past the Engen Garage. Travel approx 850 m over 2 speed humps and you will see a red Coca-cola sign on your left indicating the entrance to the Hotel. |
