Owners home on same property. Situated in the foothills of the Central Drakensberg mountains, in the beautiful Champagne Valley, are the totally unique Zulu Hut and Inkunzi Cave. Rock finish inside and out, with rock paintings and carvings on the walls guarantee you an all African experience.
Relax with sundowners in the attached rock pools as you take in the stunning views of Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak.
Inkunzi Cave sleeps 1- 2 couples comfortably. The bedroom has a stunning rock bath and toilet en suite. The lounge/kitchen area has a comfortable double sleeper couch and its own toilet and rock shower. Glass doors open on to a large rock swimming pool. Bushman carvings and etchings on the walls, as well as surround sound music and amazing views, provide a truly spiritual experience.
The Zulu Hut is ideal for 1-2 couples or a family of 4. It has a separate bedroom with double bed, and a single bed suspended from the roof above the sleeper couch in the lounge area. Peep at the mountain through a crack in the rock whilst enjoying a hot shower or relax on your bed and watch the changing moods of the mountain.
Both units are fully equipped for self-catering with cooker, microwave, fridges, sound system, heater etc.
DSTV is provided in the Cave and is an optional extra in the Hut.
Please note that the pools are not fenced.
You will be hosted by well-known local artist, Steve Bull and his wife, Estelle, who live in the main house. Steve is responsible for all the amazing artwork in the units and he also welcomes you to visit his studio to view some of his other work.

Weekends : R550.00 per night for 1 - 2 people. R100.00 ea for person 3 & 4

Low Season (Any other midweek days) : R500.00 per night for 1 - 2 people. R75.00 ea for person 3 & 4
Includes 2 tickets to Drak. Boys Choir concert on Wed pm.
Inkunzi Cave (Sleeps 1 - 2 couples)

Deposit to be paid into our bank account as requested in order to confirm the booking. Balance paid in cash on arrival. No credit card facilities available. -
Kindly confirm payment of deposit by email or sms and ensure that the correct reference is used. -
Visitors will be charged for any breakages which might occur during their stay. -
Upon cancellation, funds will only be refunded pro-rata if the hut can be re-let and a cancellation fee of R150 will be charged. -
Otherwise deposit is non-refundable.

DirectionsFrom Durban: Take the Bergville/Colenso turn-off from the N2 (exit 179). Travel to Winterton. Turn left at Pep Stores over railway line. Travel for +- 30 km. Pass Champagne Sports, Drakensberg Sun, Dragon Peaks Park and Drakensberg Boys Choir. 300m after Dragon Peaks is entrance to Highlands on right. We are at No. 8.
From Johannesburg: Travel along N2 to Bergville and then Winterton. Turn right over the railway line as you enter Winterton and follow instructions as above. |
